About Danny and Robin Sikkens

We (Danny and Robin) bought this charming cottage because they eventually want to retire here. IT was easy to fall in love with the neighbors, the close proximity to restaurants and wineries. In the yellow house is a cute retired couple who use to own this house, you will often find the husband working in his yard. In the big green house is a cute family who love playing soccer and sipping wine out front.

Danny runs a non-profit in Beaverton, (45min out), called Aim High. This is a martial arts based non-profit that works with children and adults with developmental disabilities and at risk youth. The martial arts school pay’s 100% of the administrative costs. Donner and grant support goes 100% to at field work.

Unfortunately, our family has out grown the cute little cottage we have called home for 4 years. However, it has always been a dream of ours (well Robin’s) to turn it into a vacation rental for others to enjoy, as Robin’s background is in Hospitality. So we are starting this adventure now.

With our passions we opened Social Goods Market, a first of it’s kind, in Newberg on April 1st 2016. This a specialty market that only carries products that give back. It took us a while to pick the right items to put in the store but are overjoyed with the community response. We hope you get a chance to visit us there.
